09-Grandpa's Favorite Porch House - Details
This premium rural house combines Western and Eastern design. The 80-square-meter house is coupled with a large porch of over 60 square meters, creating a comfortable transition between indoor and outdoor spaces.  The design is ideal for central China and regions south of the Yangtze River.
 
The open, compact layout combines the living, dining, and kitchen areas, allowing elderly residents to check on one another easily. The double-height living room features dormer windows in a large sloped roof, providing ample sunlight. Indoor lighting is adjusted with electric sunshades.
 
The exterior is made of weather-resistant siding, which can be replaced with rot-resistant natural red cedar for a rustic look. An attic can also be added for extra storage or children's use.
